1 - Categorisation.
Post to the appropriate forum for the topic being presented. Posting technical questions in the General Discussions "just because you want them answered faster" is not acceptable. Moving threads is a courtesy to help keep things categorized properly; however we realize that sometimes a question can cross multiple topics and it isn't exactly clear where it would be best to post. If a person repeatedly creates new threads which are obviously in the wrong place, a moderator has the right to delete a post / thread without notice.
2 - No spamming.
Any such messages will be removed at the sole discretion of the *L.T.K*clan Admin and Moderators. (Spamming is defined as excessive posts that offer no significant value to the topic. Most of these kinds of posts are just single-word posts that have no meaning or value whatsoever. It can also be a post with one of the Similes and nothing else. Or even just a post that could be of normal length but take the thread completely off topic.)
3 - Post Content.
Do not curse in the subject line. No excessive foul language. There are basic filters for some foul language, but you are also expected to use good judgment and common sense when posting. Members here are of all ages and the content in a post should be suitable for all ages and all locations including the workplace and school environment. This includes content contained with forum signatures and avatars. Posts should be in English only. Non-English posts or posts with extremely bad spelling or grammar may be removed.
4 - Appropriate Images/Links.
No linking or posting of any material that is pornographic, obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, "R" rated, excessively violent, morally inappropriate, graphically unacceptable, hateful or threatening. This includes content used in Signature Pics and Avatars. Please use good judgment when linking to content not associated with this network.
5 - No Flaming.
Members are expected to conduct themselves as civilized individuals here. That means showing courtesy to staff, other members and guests, and avoiding excessive cursing and absolutely no personal attacks, bashes or bigotry.
6 - Staff.
Respect both moderators and administrators. They spend countless hours maintaining the forum and helping people and building it into the great community that it has become.
Staff decisions, such as message and discussion deletion and banning, are not subject to review by members on the boards. If you have a question or comment, send a message to the staff.
7 - New Members.
Newbies should be treated with respect even if they ask a question that has been answered a dozen times before, simply refer them to the proper thread that answers their question. Remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question if you don't know the answer.
8 - No Shouting
(CAPS Off) - READING A POST LIKE THIS IS ANNOYING, please don't do it.
9 - Thread Creation.
Do not start threads if:
You are simply responding or talking about another thread that has been locked/deleted by a moderator.
You are asking why a previous thread was locked/deleted by a moderator.
You want to inform the world of matters that are completely pointless. (e.g. "I am so drunk. Look at me type while I am drunk.")
You solely want to complain about the behavior of forum participants or content. In doing so, you are only creating another pointless thread.
You have already posted the same question/comment in another forum. Do not Double Post! double/repeat posts will be removed at the discretion of the forum moderators.
10 - vB Code.
Do not abuse VB code. It is provided as a benefit to you and its usage can be revoked. (smiley spamming, excessive text formatting that makes posts hard to read etc.)
When attaching images to posts please use the advanced reply and attach your images directly to the post. If you are linking images directly from another site/forum please ensure that linked images do not exceed 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels tall. Images that breach this size limitation will be removed at the discretion of staff.
11 - Privacy.
Do not post personal information (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, IPs, passwords, PINs, or any other information considered private) without the express permission of the individual.
Users can setup their forum accounts so that e-mail addresses are not visible to others, except moderators and administrators.
There is an optional cookie placed by the *H.D.K*clan forums server that helps enhance your online experience by keeping you logged in to the forums. *L.T.K*clan does not share/sell any personal information with third parties. We value your privacy.
12 - Copyright Laws.
Observe all copyright laws when posting. If the material belongs to someone else, credit the original author. Do not post material where you do not have permission to distribute it electronically or otherwise.
13 - Illegal activities.
You will not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage any illegal activity. Links provided to locations that deal with any such activity are also expressly forbidden. Do not post messages that violate Federal, State, or Local laws which include, but are not limited to, anything that violates a copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or is bound by NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement).
14 - Warez/CD Cracks/Key Generators.
Absolutely no warez links, requests, discussions, suggestions, or any discussion about warez. Same goes for pornographic material, drugs, or any other illegal activities. There will be NO discussion on how to obtain CD keys, cracks, serial numbers, no-CD patches or key generators for any form of software, game or application in any part of this website or forum, whether you own it legitimately or not. Any members that engage in these discussions will be removed at the discretion of the forum staff..
15 - Member Accounts and Disciplinary system.
Each *L.T.K*clan Forum member is limited to one account/alias, unless otherwise authorized by an *L.T.K*clan administrator. Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself. An account created at this network is for the use of the person registering it and no one else, shared accounts availiable at places such as bugmenot will be removed upon discovery.
If your account has been suspended, DO NOT re-register under another alias for the duration of your suspension, doing so will warrant the removal of the duplicate acocunt and the permanent ban of your original account.
Banning is a LAST resort. We will not ban a member until all else has failed. *L.T.K*clan Forums reserves the right to ban any member at any time without reason or prior notice. If a user has been banned and continues to try and abuse the forums, their ISP will be contacted and appropriate steps will be taken to resolve the issue.
The disciplinary structure will, in most cases, include a warning upon the first offense. A subsequent offense will either result in the suspension of the members account or account revocation. Members who have been banned may submit an appeal to *L.T.K*tommytoad. where a determination will be made regarding the potential for Suspension in lieu of Revocation. Members are not entitled to another appeal for any offense committed after an account has been reactivated following Suspension.
16 - Liability.
*L.T.K*clan and its representatives will not be held liable for the result of the usage of any information provided in the forums, and disclaim all liability resulting in the use of the posted information.
*L.T.K*clan takes no responsibility for the content of any of the messages posted in the forums, and does not guarantee of the authenticity of its authors. All opinions and views expressed in the forums are solely those of their respective authors and are not necessarily those of *L.T.K*clan or its representatives.
17 - Cheats
-There will be no discussion on how to use cheats in Multiplayer parts of any game. There will be no linking to sites that supply this information. Cheats can be discussed to teach the general gaming population on what to look out for, but any discussion of how to use said cheats will result in a permanent ban. PER *L.T.K*tommytoad.
18 - Advertising:
- Posts which contain advertisements either for free or for the profit of the poster are not permitted, this includes, but is not limited to game servers, web design, hosting, graphics or the general selling of items and any service that derives a profit for the person posting either directly or in a representative form.
19 - Signatures:
Graphics are allowed in signatures.
Total of all signature graphics should not exceed 540x130 pixels. You may also have 3 lines of text with any image. If no image is being used, you can have 6 lines of text. A one pixel violation will result in the removal of the image. You may have links in your signature leading to webpages however the use of misleading links in your signature is not permitted and they will be removed upon discovery. Do not attempt to trick other users into visiting pages they did not intend to visit.
